Integrating Facebook Connect & CodeIgniter

This is a small tutorial that I made showing how I got the Facebook API working with a Codeigniter PHP Web App. Just download with Eliot Haughlin's FB Library, edit some cookies and you'll be good to go!

Attached to the tutorial, I have a zip file with my modified version of Elliot's library and the latest Facebook PHP Client Library. Just drag and drop it into your web app!

uniConnect - Student Networking

uniConnect is a web application that I have been working on for the last few weeks. Its premise is simple: to help university students connect and network with each other.

Won 3rd Place at Yahoo! Hack U 2009

The data-driven website uniWall won 3rd place at the Yahoo! HackU 2009 competition amongst 10 groups from UofT and UWaterloo. uniWall is an online community aimed at creating a book exchange for university students buying or selling textbooks.

uniWall was created by myself and my buddy Prashant Viswanathan over a period of only 24 hours (give or take a few!)

Tuition Calculator

The "Spend Freely" tuition calculator is an online tool to help students determine how much of their salary they can afford to spend over their co-op terms. By inputting your upcoming term, your current hourly wage and other optional fields, the tool determines your weekly allowable spending limit.

Features include pulling data from a SQL database, and reloading data in the same page using AJAX.

I am a Systems Design Engineering student at the University of Waterloo currently in my 2nd year of studies. My interests involve Web Application Development , UI Design and Human Computer Interaction, but I'm always trying to broaden my interests.
